Phase 1: Chapel & Bell Tower

Phase 1 of The FD Renaissance Project comprises the construction of the chapel and the bell tower. The ground breaking for this phase took place in March 2013. It is due to be completed in December 2013.
The chapel and the bell tower were made a priority for a couple of reasons. First and foremost we desire to give honor to God. Since the destruction of the school's original chapel in August 1992 due to Typhoon Omar, FDMS has been without a permanent place of prayer. The chapel and bell tower is a needed facility which will serve are the focal point of our campus ministry and a long awaited symbol of the school's Catholic identity. Secondly, a major portion of the funding of the chapel has been made possible by the generous donation of Dr. Thomas Robinson. Dr. Tom, as he is known by the FD community, was a member of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accreditation team in 2001 and 2007 from that early experience he was inspired to dedicate his efforts and resources to facilitate the chapel's construction. In his honor and at his request, we have named this place of prayer "The Boys' Chapel."
In order to finish this chapel as befits a house of prayer, we are appealing to you, your family, or your class for help by sponsoring any of the following items:

Update of our progress: The Boys' Chapel is nearly completed. Thus far, the school has received $66,200 in pledges for various chapel items.
