FD Faculty & Staff Oriention and Retreat

The orientation week began with a Mass with celebrants Fr. Jeff and Fr. Efren at the FD Boys' Chapel and a breakfast sponsored by the FD students who volunteered to make this day special. Thank you boys.

The Mass was celebrated on the feast day of Saint James, The Greater. The reflection upon this feast day is one of love and service. "Each disciple must be ready to lay down his or her life each and everyday in the little and big sacrifices required - and even at the point of shedding one's blood if necessary for the sake of Christ and his Gospel."(D. Schwager, Dailyscripture.net).

Fr. Jeff's homily echoed this message and encouraged each of us to step out of our comfort area to accomplish our mission of love and service to our students, the school and each other. Our faculty, staff, and administration is committed to continually improve our FD community and environment and with God's blessing and our cooperation to do his work we will accomplish our mission.
