On September 4, 2016 members of the FD Alumni Class of 1984 hosted a golf tournament fundraiser for Father Duenas Memorial School in Las Vegas. Members of various FD alumni as well as alumni from George Washington High School and John F. Kennedy High School came out to Las Vegas to support this fundraising effort.
According to Mr. Dean Malilay, FD Class of 1984, “FD helped shape who we are and making us the men that we currently are, close friends and family men rooted in our faith as well and then underlying reason, for hosting the fundraiser is to help FD and to build friendship. In our 30th reunion a couple of years ago, also in Vegas, in Father Jeff's homily, he said "love is actually spelled TIME and making the time to spend with loved ones is a true sign of love." Spending time with each other is something that not only the Class of 1984 felt but other classes as well.
Mr. Malilay also expressed, “It is our sincere hope to build upon this foundation by networking with other classes and tapping into the alumni pipeline of mainlanders who also should feel an appreciation of FD and reciprocate financially to help the school.”
