Connecting School and Community.

Father Dueñas Memorial School last Wednesday celebrated the Mass of the Holy Spirit, traditionally the Mass used to open the academic year. At this Mass the FDMS students took up a collection and collected $295.91 which will go to the purchasing of in-kind donations to support the Alee Shelter, such items include toiletries, food and other items intended to aid their operations. This is the start of an effort on behalf of Campus Ministry in connecting the school with the island community. The FDMS Campus Ministry will continue to take up a collection at each of the school´s monthly Masses and will benefit other non-profit organizations on the island.  As a part of the mission of FDMS the Campus Ministry will continue to carry out the Works of Mercy in various other on and off campus events throughout the school year.
