On Wednesday August 23, 2017, members of Father Duenas’ Campus Ministry club presented gifts to representatives from the Alee Shelter. The Alee Shelter is a safe haven for both women and children that have suffered from domestic violence and abuse. The resurgent Campus Ministry club led by advisor, Ms. Avice Perez, used the money collected from the school’s first mass earlier this month and purchased a variety of goods including rice, detergent, soap, and paper towels that will help those at the Alee Shelter. Isaiah Camacho, Campus Ministry President said, “ It was a great experience for us young people to go out and help others, the representatives really gave us a new insight and we definitely hope to help more and more people this school year.”
