The John D. Forbes Scholarship

Father Dueñas Memorial School (FD) is proud to announce The John D. Forbes Scholarship. This scholarship was created and funded by generous donations from many alumni and friends of FD in honor of a long time teacher and supporter of FD, Mr. John D. Forbes. 

The John D. Forbes Scholarship is a competitive scholarship, established to provide financial support to our most deserving students, who have demonstrated financial need and who have the academic ability to excel in their studies at FD.
In order to be considered for this scholarship the applicant must:

1. Be accepted as a FD student for the coming school year as a junior or senior.
2. Demonstrate academic excellence by maintaining no less than a 3.5 grade point average in his last two years of school at FDMS
3. Complete and submit the Common Scholarship Application on or before July 15.   Click here for a downloadable version of the Common Scholarship Application.  The Common Scholarship Application is also available at the FDMS administration office.
4. Complete the Financial Aid Application through FACTS* on or before July 15.  Click here to begin the online FACTS* application.

Students are not eligible if they are currently receiving another scholarship to attend FD.

Submitting an application does not guarantee a scholarship award.  Final scholarship awards are determined by the scholarship's selection committee.
