The Friars are champs on the tennis court once again.
Father Duenas Memorial School beat John F. Kennedy High School 29-8 in the final match of the Independent Interscholastic Athletic Association of Guam Boys’ Tennis League to finish with a 9-0 record and the title, according to a new release.
In singles, senior Andrew Chung got things going for the Friars with an 8-0 victory over Richard Park.
Friars’ Camden Camacho, undefeated in eight matches, completed his freshman season with an 8-0 win over Seo Hyun Kim.
In doubles, the Friars’ Eddie Chung and Gabriel Tan finished with an 8-0 win over Chadler Iriarte and David Gugin.
Islanders Kyle Lagrimas and Patrick Marquez prevented a sweep with an 8-5 victory over Eric Tenorio and Carlo Villegas.
