FDMS Anniversary Essay and Poetry Contest

To commemorate the FDMS 67th Anniversary of the Opening Day,
Fr. Efren Adversario along with Mrs. Christina Mantanona, held an Essay and Poetry Contest,

The criteria for the contest were as follows.

Essay

• Topic: How do I emulate the Catholic values and teachings of Fr. Jesus Baza Dueñas in the 21st century? How do I demonstrate servant leadership?
• Should be typed with a 250-500 words maximum
• Essays will be judged on originality and relevance to topic
• All entries should be submitted to the office by Monday September 28, 2015

Poetry Contest

• Topic: Students who attend FDMS become Friars and part of the ‘Brotherhood’. What does this mean to me?
• Poems must be typed and submitted to the office by Monday September 28, 2015
• Poems will be judged on creativity, originality, relevance to topic

A panel of 5 judges comprised of faculty and a student representative read the numerous entries and determined the following winners.
