Dedicated to supporting the mission and activities of their alma mater the FD class of 87’ made three donations to the main arms of the school. AD7 (87’) established the first scholarship for their class honoring the memory of their late classmate James Tuquero, whom the class lost during their sophomore year at FDMS. The scholarship received $8,700.00, the first of the fund’s instalments and will total at $25,000.00 at completion. Collectively the school supports 18 students who are recipients of various scholarships already established within the FD Endowment Foundation.
AD7 lastly donated two additional checks, each check with a value of $1,000.00, directed to the FDMS Alumni Association to support the FDMSAA’s activities and lastly, to FDMS with the intention of aiding students with current financial issues. Class members remarked that, “this would not have come to fruition without the entire FDMS Class of 87’, the corporate community and the participation of all those who believed in our cause.”
The class of AD7 (87’) wishes all future applicants to their scholarship all the best and thanks their fellow FD87’ brothers, Mr. Tony Thompson, FDMS Principal, the Father Dueñas Memorial School Alumni Association and the Endowment Foundation for their support.
